Chevrolet Equinox EV for 2025

For 2025, the Chevrolet Equinox EV gets a rugged new design that makes it look like a scaled-down Traverse. Inside, a boldly styled dashboard features two digital displays: an 11.0-inch unit that serves as the gauge display and another 11.3-inch one that offers access to the SUV’s Google-based infotainment system.

Chevrolet Equinox EV for 2025 packs in more power and range than previous iterations, with front-drive models rated to go 319 miles on a charge, and all-wheel-drive versions managing 285 miles. That beats the outgoing model’s 285-mile rating, and puts it in competition with compact electric SUVs such as the stylish Honda CR-V, retro Ford Mach-E, and Kia EV6.

2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV: Features, Specs & Performance Overview

But what really sets the Equinox apart is its user-friendly design and excellent driving dynamics. It’s comfortable for four adults, and cargo room is ample. It also has a robust suite of driver assists that are quickly becoming table stakes, including automatic braking at intersections and side-cyclist alert. My test car was equipped with GM’s excellent Super Cruise, which works impeccably on highways for hands-off, eyes-on driving.

Pricing starts at $34,995 for the front-wheel drive LT model. Adding a Convenience Package pushes the price to $46,200, and RS models that swap in a more sporty-looking roof and flat-bottom steering wheel add another $1,900 or so. Even in its most basic form, however, the Equinox EV stands out as a compelling value. Compared to the sleek Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6, it’s far less expensive and delivers nearly as much range.
